About Me
My name is Edwood Brice and I'm a Data Scientist. I graduated with a M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Informatics & Data Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I'm passionate about data science, programming, mentorship, and enjoy work, exercise, and play involving wearable devices ranging from virtual reality (VR) headsets to wrist-worn smartwatches. My career is actively focused on today’s ever-growing list of challenges in our increasingly connected world.
With my data science background, I work on making sense of the unstructured and structured data that streams in from disciplines and domains, including health and wellness, marketing, finance, and artificial intelligence.
With informatics, I leverage collected data to solve problems and answer questions produced by natural phenomena, consumers, students, and researchers alike. I use both to support my personal and professional effort to develop ways to make things easier and more efficient for people.
In addition to my career, I love to experiment with the recipes I grew up on to keep meal-prepping exciting. After fueling up, pushing myself to break personal records in the gym, exploring bike-friendly cities, and diving deep into personal projects are some of my favorite things to do! I also cherish the time I spend with sci-fi and fantasy genre media (bonus points if they overlap!) and writing stuff of my own every November for National Novel Writing Month.
